Professional Experience

Karen Burkhart Dick, CRE, CCIM is a 20-year veteran of the commercial real estate industry in Atlanta. She serves as Executive Vice President of Asset Management and Advisory Services for Ackerman & Co. where she is responsible for investor/client relations and investment strategy of portfolio assets totaling 2.0 million square feet of office and industrial space valued at more than $200 million. She provides real estate advice to clients on a variety of commercial and economic development projects in the Southeast. Her expertise is assessing competitive market conditions, due diligence for acquisition and disposition of properties, developing strategies for investment and asset management, project repositioning and marketing, evaluating the potential of undeveloped land, and smart growth tactics. Through this experience she has obtained the prestigious Counselor of Real Estate (CRE) designation and the Certifi ed Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation. Prior to joining Ackerman & Co. in 1998, she was a real estate counselor with Haddow & Company, a firm she co-founded, and with Landauer Associates, an international consulting firm.
