Professional Experience

Stan Bufford is President of Ackerman & Co. Development with bottom line responsibility for development company operations, management, and marketing. He is committed to providing creative, professional, timely, and cost efficient development services to Ackerman & Co.’s clients, as well as for Ackerman & Co.’s own account and accounts with institutional financial partners. Mr. Bufford has more than 35 years experience in design, development, management, and construction of domestic and international real estate projects including Class A office, medical office, luxury hotels ,office service and distribution and retail. Prior to assuming his current duties, Mr. Bufford served as President of AGC Construction Services, Inc., an affiliate company of Ackerman & Co. which provided general contracting and construction consulting services for both Ackerman & Co. projects, as well as third party assignments. Before this, Mr. Bufford served as President of Real Estate Assets for Ackerman & Co. Mr. Bufford was responsible for the development, management, and construction of commercial office, hotel, retail, warehouse/distribution, and residential project types in the Atlanta metro area. Prior to joining Ackerman & Co., Mr. Bufford was a Naval Officer with the US Navy Civil Engineering Corps, responsible for the planning, development, and construction of Department of Defense real estate projects in Southern Europe, the Pacific Rim, and the Caribbean.
