Mr. Chesser joined Ackerman & Co. in 2003, bringing a unique blend of finance, transaction, and construction/design management experience to the firm. Mr. Chesser is focused on build-to-suit and acquisition opportunities throughout metro Atlanta. Recently, he completed the AdvancED world headquarters in Alpharetta, a LEED Gold, state-of-the-art facility, and Perimeter Town Center, a mixed-use medical development in Central Perimeter. Mr. Chesser is currently overseeing the future development of over 2 million square feet of office, retail, condominium, and hotel combined on several key sites in Central Perimeter. Mr. Chesser plays an integral role in creating and maintaining profitable joint venture partnerships for development and acquisitions. In 2004 and 2005, Mr. Chesser led acquisition teams that purchased 500,000 square feet of office in Central Perimeter and added over 2 million square feet of entitlement through successful rezoning.
Before Ackerman & Co., Mr. Chesser worked with Trammell Crow Company as an exclusive Owner’s Representative for EMC Corporation, and Cisco Systems where he managed build-to-suit throughout North America. Mr. Chesser also worked with one of Atlanta’s premier commercial builders, managing and estimating several landmarks projects in and around Sandy Springs and Central Perimeter.
- AdvancED Corporate Headquarters - developed a 60,000 square foot LEED Gold facility in Alpharetta, GA
- Abernathy 400 - developing a 12 acre mixed-use development in Sandy Springs; sold a 3-acre parcel to Lane Company for their Serrano condominium development
- 1140 Perimeter Town Center - developed a 3-story, 64,000 square feet, mixed-use medical office building, now home to Piedmont Heart Institute, Uncle Julio's, Figo, WIIFH, and other valued tenants.
- 1150 Perimeter Town Center - developed a 7-story, 80,000 square feet, mixed-use medical office building with an attached 620 park garage, home to such tenants as The Goddard School, Atlanta Allergy Clinic, Sonabello, Equity Mortgage, and Select Medical Therapy

- Premier Plaza - a 320,000 square foot Sandy Springs Class A office purchased in December, 2005; refinanced in 2010
- Powers Pointe - a 120,000 square foot office, zoned C-1, located in the Powers Ferry submarket of Sandy Springs purchased in 2006; refinanced in 2010
- Tramore Pointe - developed a 65 acre commercial subdivision on the East-West Connector in Cobb County, GA
- Clark Atlanta University - redevelopment of several on-campus facilities
