Professional Experience

A 20-year veteran in the commercial real estate industry, Tennyson Williams is Senior Vice President of Brokerage Services with Ackerman & Co., and one of the firm’s most experienced professionals. Mr. Williams specializes in a variety of commercial real estate sectors, including retail and multifamily investments, land acquisition and positioning, development services and private equity placement, having managed and placed more than $1 billion worth of retail, land, industrial, office, and multi-family investment capital. Additionally, Tennyson has trained thousands of real estate investors, developers, and brokers worldwide for the CCIM Institute, Urban Land Institute and others.

Mr. Williams joined Ackerman & Co. in 2008 following a long and successful career in commercial real estate and in operating his own firm, Southpointe Partners. He also has previously served on the institutional real estate teams of John Hancock Financial Services in Boston, and Prudential Real Estate Investors in Atlanta.

Mr. Williams also is a noted industry speaker, and has delivered numerous real estate market and finance lectures worldwide for entities such as Jones Lang Lasalle, the Russian Guild of Realtors & Developers in Moscow Russia, and the University of International Business & Economics (UIBE) in Beijing, China, the New York University School of Real Estate and is a faculty advisor with the highly regarded Real Estate Apprentice Program (REAP). Tennyson is a graduate of Morehouse College in Atlanta.

He serves on the Urban Land Institute’s (ULI) Silver Council for Urban Mixed Use Development as well as the Atlanta District Council of ULI, and also contributes human and financial resources to various charitable causes including the Hosea Feed the Hungry program and Junior Achievement of Georgia.
