Gwen Wegman joined Ackerman & Co. in 1997 as Vice President of Marketing to assume the marketing and leasing for One West Court Square, a 150,000 square-foot office property in Decatur, Georgia. Within twelve months, Ms. Wegman increased the project’s occupancy from 60% to 95%. She then added the responsibility of leasing Crown Pointe, a 500,000 square-foot Class A office complex in Atlanta’s prestigious Central Perimeter market. In less than one year, Ms. Wegman increased the occupancy from 75% to 95%. Ms. Wegman is responsible for marketing, advertising, lease preparation and negotiation, budgets, monthly reporting, tenant relations, and tenant construction coordination.
Ms. Wegman is a 25 year veteran of the commercial real estate industry. She began her career in 1981 with Robinson-Humphries Properties, Inc. as Leasing Director for the Atlanta Financial Center, a 900,000 square-foot Class A, multi-building development in Buckhead. During her 13-year tenure with this development, she brought the project’s occupancy rate from 0% to 95% and completed over 1,500,000 square feet of lease transactions. Ms. Wegman is proficient in leasing Class A, B, & C properties and has worked with third party owners such as AEW, Lehman Brothers Realty, Mutual of New York, Urdang Management, Northwestern Mutual, and CMD Realty. Her experience also includes three years of tenant representation with Richard Bowers & Co. prior to joining Ackerman & Co.
